One of my favorite things to do is to find furniture online that has good bones but desperately needs some updating and a little elbow grease. Just about every piece of furniture in my home is either built by my husband and I or refinished. This is mainly because I really believe ‘they’ don’t build furniture like they used to. I have a hard time paying upward of $500 for a basic dining room table that isn’t solid wood from your local big box store. Factor in my expensive taste for that piece of furniture with just the right details and I wouldn’t be able to afford to furnish my house without a small $1 million dollar loan.
